activities most closely related to the goals of the discipline, department, or unit of the faculty or staff member will receive priority. Support is limited to a total of $500 per person within a two-year period and the application(s) must be submitted PRIOR to participation in any activity in order to receive funding. Professional development activities eligible for funding include, but are not limited to, o local and out-of-state professional conferences, o online conferences, o workshops in distance learning and instructional technologies, o educational seminars, o computer skills enhancement training, o establishment of partnerships with industries, and o travel expenses including airfare, ground transportation, lodging, and airport parking associated activities listed above. Travel expenses may also be requested for outside experts who are invited to be guest speakers or to conduct campus-wide workshops.
