It was a whole different mindset.” From June 1991 through January 1993, Ed served as Acting Dean of Academic Affairs. He later served as Associate Dean of Academic Affairs for six years and Interim Dean of Academic Affairs for a short time. In June 1999 he was named Dean of Continuing Education. As Dean, Ed was responsible for bringing online learning to SCCC. He was also responsible for developing the University in the High School program by first initiating a partnership with Schenectady High School. He started the GED program at SCCC to provide an alternative for students who did not wish to attend other local options. Each of these programs has grown in the number of students it serves since its inception.
